Meet the Vestry: Beth Shelly

The Vestry plays an important role in the life and leadership of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. We’re excited to introduce you to the people who serve on our Vestry and help guide our church community. In this post, we’re pleased to introduce Vestry member Beth Shelly.

I am the Vestry liaison for outreach and community engagement. Some of these activities include gathering donations for our Love Chapel pantry and helping with their hot meals, partnering with Schmitt Elementary on the Trunk or Treat, their back-to-school ice cream social, and the personal item pantry for needed clothing items. We also help weed in the spring at Turning Point shelter.

My own background is as a journalist and as an association executive for construction and medical nonprofits. I grew up in Columbus, spent 43 years in Colorado, and moved back here when my husband passed. Coming back to St. Paul’s still felt like home!

Whether you're searching for a church home or simply curious about St. Paul's, we'd love to welcome you. Learn more about our parish, worship services, and ministries at stpaulscolumbus.org.
